Wholesale Selling on eBay
There are many wholesale companies worldwide in which goods are bought at wholesale price and sell sold on eBay for a chosen price. Generally, the items bought from the wholesale company are bought in bulk.

In order to sell this way on eBay the seller needs to be able to stock inventory, whether it be in their house or somewhere else. The seller also needs to be able to post and ship items to the buyer once it sells.
Dropshipping
Some wholesale companies also have a service which allow people to choose items to sell and list on eBay. Once an item is sold on eBay the seller orders the product and the company ships it to the buyer. Most dropshipping companies will include the seller's details on the package as opposed to the company's details. If an item listed does not sell their is no obligation on the seller to buy the item from the company.
The advantages of dropshipping are that a seller does not need to stock any inventory and does not have to worry about postage and handling. On the other hand, dropship items are generally a little more than wholesale items.
It is possible to make good money selling on eBay. It is important to conduct research prior to selling to ensure the competition is known as well as how much items of interest are selling for.
